Pain in the Neck

Modern medicine is something else!    As a result of a car accident, I needed what is called Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (literally a ”pain in the neck”)  I had surgery on Friday morning and Saturday evening was released from the hospital. 

This is about all I feel up to writing today.  I’ll blog more in the weeks to come….Peace!

Went Fishin’

Today I treated myself to an ol’ fashion southern fish fry.  A feast of fried large mouth bass, blue gill and perch.  All brought to my table as a result of me spending two days at the lake fishing.  I admit it, I’ve caught the bug.  I went out early Saturday morning, went home for lunch and just had to go back out for the rest of the day.  Then - and don’t tell anybody - I decided to spend Sunday fishing.  Yes, instead of church, I went fishing.  And I didn’t - to quote a James Cleveland song - “feel noways tired.”   It was a splendid way to have Sabbath.  (more…)
