After long morning hours of discussions, an extended “lunch” break, motions, discussions, voting and heckling (no not heckling since hecklers generally target an opponent and these persons were an insult to even the candidates they supported) Democratic Party officials voted to seat Florida and Michigan delegates at the upcoming convention in August. It was a long day but I watched it all because, after all, I am a native of that great and drama-filled state called Florida. My hope - and the reason for me sitting on my derriere for most of a beautiful Saturday in Chicagoland - is that the saga of the unseated delegates would be amicably resolved. Wishful thinking.
